We had seen the burnout, the extractive business models, the lack of transparency — and we knew there had to be another way.
So we built it.

Carla Russell
Co-Founder
Carla is a strategic healthcare technology leader. After 8 years managing and leading in Access Implementation at Epic, she shifted to analytics and data governance leadership, leveraging her operational and change management expertise. Carla thrives in complex environments and is passionate about fostering psychologically safe collaboration. She’s excited to bring cooperation to the forefront of Healthcare IT through Cooperative Healthtech.
Lee Coleman
Co-Founder
Lee has been working in some facet of HL7 integration for 19 years, including 5 years at Epic and 13 years of consulting with healthcare organizations with implementations and support of HL7 interfaces. He is trained and has extensive hands-on experience with Cloverleaf, Openlink, and Corepoint engines. He really thrives when sharing his knowledge and experience with organizations to help create processes and documentation that make their work easier. He is also a strong supporter of all fellow workers who wants to see everyone get the most reward for their labor.
Travis Frazier
Co-Founder
Travis is an Ex-Epic TS with over a decade of consulting experience. He is a skilled data and analytics engineer with a passion for using advanced reporting techniques to answer complex questions with dynamic and automated solutions. He appreciates CHT's cooperative model for its transparency and commitment to long-term relationship building, both within the team and with clients.
Mac Comly
Co-Founder
Mac is an HL7 interface expert with 15 years of experience including 5 years with Epic. Mac has worked with live interface support and legacy data conversion projects from all angles, and is experienced in multiple interface engines as well as Epic Bridges. Mac has also started businesses in the past, and is a proficient book keeper, instrumental to bringing the dream of Cooperative Healthtech to reality. Mac has worked as an independent consultant and with private firms, and greatly appreciates the CHT model that provides administrative support while keeping the control and compensation with the workers.
