FAQs

Not necessarily! With a commitment of only a few hours a month, you can be a member! You can be part of building something new without having a contract through Cooperative Healthtech.

We’re still building our benefits package and we’d love to have your voice at the table. All our members have access to Microsoft 365 and to receive payouts based on equity through patronage dividends. We’re also working on scope and scale of benefits including:

  • Health insurance
  • Dental and vision insurance
  • Disability insurance
  • Bench pay
  • 401k

Our current one-time membership fee is $500. Our current monthly dues are $30/month.

Joining Cooperative Healthtech is, first and foremost, a commitment to thinking differently about the consulting world. As a member of Cooperative Healthtech, you have the chance to shape not only our organization, but to shape worker-cooperatives in the technology consulting space in the future.

As a member, you’re required to participate in a regular Membership meeting (~3 hours/month), an annual membership meeting, and occasional additional discussions. You also have the opportunity to participate more comprehensively, which can include financial compensation. Examples of this next-level participation include serving on the Board, participating in our Finance circle, or taking on a larger project or role in the growth and sustainability of Cooperative Healthtech.

We incorporated as a cooperative because the structure of a coop requires decisions and profits to be shared across members. When we formed, we wanted to exist in alignment with our vision for a different business model for consulting than we’ve experienced. We also tap into a small but mighty support network of other cooperatives who love to share their wisdom!
